One-pot synthesis of TiO2/Sb2S3/RGO complex multicomponent heterostructures for highly enhanced photoelectrochemical water splitting

The development of new sources renewable energy fuels like hydrogen remains challenging considering the nowadays society needs on a day-to-day basis. In this context, hybrid nanostructures conformed by TiO 2 nanoparticles sensitized with bundles rod-like Sb S 3 (stibnite) surface reduced graphene oxide (TiO /Sb /RGO), can pave way in direction, as offering heterostructures that be employed active phase photo-anodes for photoelectrochemical water oxidation. For that, these /RGO are able to extend light absorption visible range, enhance charge separation and transportation, improve conductivity catalyst. Furthermore, method synthesis, though simple, implies one-pot strategy which particles independently produced at RGO sheets, warranties proper improved function hybrids offers engineering future chalcogenide-based catalysts promising splitting properties.
